The Gopalpur Industrial Area is a pretty busy place, and F-46 is where you will find us. White Line Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this unit for a good while now. It is a concrete building that gets very hot in the summer months, especially with the machinery running all day. We have barrels lined up along the walls and the floor is always a bit stained from various spills over the years. It is an industrial space, so it isn't meant to look pretty. We wear our old work clothes and spend a lot of time checking the gauges and the mixing tanks. There is always a faint smell of something sharp in the air, but you get used to it after the first hour. Our small office is just a partitioned corner with a desk that’s always covered in logbooks and safety sheets. We eat our lunch in the shade of the loading dock when we can. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy drums and making sure the labels are stuck on straight. The trucks come in and out through the gate all day, kicking up dust from the road. We just focus on getting the batches right and keeping the equipment from breaking down too often. It’s a basic, hard-working environment where we just get on with the job at hand.
