Madan Mohan Ramesh Chand Pansari Shop

We have been here on Rudawal Road in Uchain for quite a while now. The shop is small but we keep a lot of things inside. Mostly spices, different kinds of herbs, and stuff people need for their kitchens every day. It gets dusty outside because of the road traffic but we try to keep the jars clean. People from the village come in, sometimes they just want to chat for a bit while they wait for their orders. It is a busy spot. We handle things like turmeric, black pepper, and different oils. Sometimes the smell of everything mixed together is very strong in the mornings when we first open the shutters. The floor is old stone and it stays cool even when the sun is hitting the front of the shop. My father started this and we just keep it going the same way. We don't have fancy displays or anything. It's just shelves piled up with bags and containers. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck is late coming from the main market, but that is just how it goes here. People know us by name. It is a simple life here in Uchain. We see the same faces every week. It isn't a big business, just a family shop where we know what everybody likes. If someone needs a specific root for a home remedy, they usually come here first. It’s just how we do things. We just try to stay open on time and keep the stock ready for whenever someone walks in.
