Our workshop is located in Bulandshahr, right behind the old Bansal Cinema. If you are familiar with the Delhi Gate area on G.T. Road, you have probably driven past us many times without giving it a thought. We have a decent-sized space back there where we handle all the garment manufacturing. It is a practical setup, mostly just rows of machines and large tables for cutting the fabric. We don't have any air conditioning, so we rely on the big ceiling fans to keep things moving during the summer months. The crew here is mostly made up of people from the nearby neighborhoods who have been with us for years. We start the day early, usually around eight, to get a head start on the production schedule. There is always a lot of dust from the cotton, so we are constantly sweeping the floors. It is not a glamorous place to work, but it is steady and keeps everyone busy. We don't really go in for fancy meetings or corporate strategies. We just look at what needs to be sewn and we get it done by the end of the shift. The building itself has seen better days, but it is sturdy and serves its purpose well enough for us. We just focus on the clothes and making sure they are packed up correctly for the trucks that come by in the evening to take everything away.
