Adarsh Hosiery

Our place is over in the Gopalpur Industrial Area in Sikandrabad, specifically at units A 3/104 and 105. It’s a factory setting, so don’t expect anything fancy if you come to visit. We are surrounded by other industrial units and there are always trucks moving around the narrow roads. We make hosiery here. It’s a lot of machines and a lot of thread. The air inside can get a bit thick with lint, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We have two units because we needed the extra space for the finishing and packing side of things. It’s not a quiet place. The hum of the machines is something you just get used to after a few days. We have a bunch of people working here who know the machines inside out. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just take the orders and get the knitting done. Sometimes we run into issues with the power or a machine breaks down, and we just have to fix it and move on. It is honest work and we’ve been doing it for a good while. The concrete floors are worn down from all the walking back and forth. It’s just a standard factory where we produce everyday hosiery items without making much of a fuss. We keep our heads down and just get on with it. It is just what we do to keep things going for our families.
