Vijayvargiya Dhani

If you’re driving through Sidhpur and pass the I.O.C Petrol Pump, you’re basically right at our doorstep. Vijayvargiya Dhani is situated in Khali, and it’s a spot that most of the local drivers know well. It’s a bit dusty around here because of the traffic coming and going from the pump, but we don’t mind it much. The building is simple and doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. We spend our days mostly dealing with the goods coming through. It's the kind of place where you can hear the highway noise all day long. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. Sometimes it’s just one person sitting there keeping an eye on things. We don't use any fancy systems, just a lot of writing things down and making sure the counts are correct. The weather in Sidhpur gets quite hot, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down in the middle of the day. It’s not the type of office where you’d find a water cooler or a fancy waiting room. People just stop by, talk for a minute, and move on. We’ve been near this petrol pump for a long time and the routine stays pretty much the same day in and day out. It's just honest work in a quiet part of town. We just open up and see what the day brings.
