We started Step One Trading & Exim Pvt. Ltd. right here in Siddhpur. Our office is in Tirupati Market, which stays pretty busy most of the day because of the Bus Stand Road being right there. You can hear the buses honking and the crowds moving toward the station from our window. It’s not a quiet place, but it keeps us on our toes. We handle a lot of trading and export-import work from this small spot. Some days are just filled with paperwork and phone calls to suppliers. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure things are moving like they should. It’s just a few of us here. We usually grab tea from the stall downstairs around eleven. The stairs in the market are a bit steep, but we’re used to it by now. Being in Siddhpur means we know most of the people around. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving goods and making sure the documents are right. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we sit and wait it out. It’s a basic setup. We’ve got some old desks and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It gets dusty because of the road traffic, so we end up cleaning the tables every morning before we start. It’s just how things go here at Step One. We stay late some nights when the shipments are heavy.
