You can find us right on Highway Road. We are near the G.E. Board and tucked away behind Hotel Madhav. If you miss the turn, you end up way down the road before you can find a place to rotate. SHREE LAXMI VIJAY IRON & BRASS FACTORY is exactly what the name says. We work with iron, and we work with brass. The air inside the factory always smells like hot metal. It’s a heavy smell that stays on your clothes long after you leave. The machines are old but they still run fine. We don’t have a website or a social media manager. Most people find us because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else. It gets very loud when the hammers are going. We have a few guys who have been doing this for thirty years, and they can tell if a part is right just by the sound it makes. The floor is concrete and usually has some scrap metal lying around. We try to keep it tidy, but work gets in the way. Being behind the hotel means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the edge of the highway, but not by much. We just focus on the metal. We take the raw stuff and turn it into whatever is needed. It’s honest, hard work and we don't make a big fuss about it.
