Out here in Ramachandrapur, things move a bit differently. We’ve got the trucks parked at house number 3-44 most of the time when they aren't on the road. It started off pretty small. My family has lived in this part of Siddipet District forever. We just haul things back and forth. Sometimes it’s building materials, sometimes it’s farm stuff. The roads around Koheda Mandal can be a bit rough after the rain, so we have to keep an eye on the tires. It’s mostly just driving and waiting for loads. We don't have a big office or anything. Most of the planning happens over the phone at the kitchen table. My cousin helps with the driving when we get too busy. We just try to get the goods there on time. If the truck breaks down, we fix it right here in the yard. It saves us some money and we know it's done right. We don't really do the fancy internet stuff. People just call us because they know we’ve been around. It’s steady work. Some days are long, especially the trips out of the district. We just keep the engines running and move whatever needs moving. It’s not a complicated life but it keeps us going. We’re just local folks doing what we know how to do. Sometimes the tea is the best part of the day.
