Our place is in Vill Rajabari, which is in the Sibsagar district. If you are looking for us, the post office is Michajan. Maitraiyee Tea Llp is what we call the business. Living and working in a village like Rajabari is different from the big cities. Things move a bit slower, and we have time to actually look at the tea we are dealing with. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Assam, just a reliable one from Sibsagar. The office is small and the records are mostly kept in folders on a shelf. We deal with the local growers and make sure everything is handled properly before it goes to the Michajan post office or gets picked up by the trucks. The air is cleaner here, and we spend a lot of time outside on the land. We don't have a lot of corporate rules; we just try to be honest and do the work that needs doing every day. Some days are long, especially when the harvest is in and everyone is tired, but we enjoy being part of the Rajabari community. People here know us by name, and we like that personal touch. It’s just us, the tea, and the village life. We don't need much else to keep the business running smoothly. It’s a simple life and a simple business.
