Subhas Sardar & Co.

Subhas Sardar & Co. has been right here in Mangalnagar for quite a while now. We are tucked away in the Swetpur post office area, near Deganga. It is a quiet place in 24 Parganas North, mostly. My family and a couple of helpers handle everything. Usually, people come by asking for this or that, and we just try to get it sorted for them. The roads here get a bit muddy when it rains, but we still manage to keep the work moving along. We started small, just a little room really. Now we have a bit more space, but it is still the same group of us. Some days are busier than others, especially when the supplies come in late from the city. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It's just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of paperwork piled up. We know most of the people around here by name. It makes the day go faster when you can have a quick chat while working. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. That is just how life is in the village. We do what we can with what we have. It is not always perfect, but we stay busy. We don't worry about being the biggest, just about doing what we need to do each day to stay afloat. It's a simple life, but it suits us just fine.
