Accurate Engineers

Our shop is out on Plot No. 107 in the MIDC area of Shrirampur. Being in Ahmednagar, we are surrounded by a lot of other industrial units, so there is always some activity going on. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and engineering jobs that come our way. It’s a standard setup with lathes and some newer machines we picked up a few years back. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the back. The heat in the summer gets pretty bad under the tin roof, so we start early to beat the sun. Most of our guys live nearby and have been working these machines since they were young. We don't really do anything flashy. If a customer brings a drawing, we see if we can make it. Sometimes it takes a bit longer if a machine breaks down or a part is hard to source. That’s just the reality of running a small engineering place. We focus on keeping the tools sharp and the measurements right. It’s noisy and there's always a smell of cutting oil in the air, but it’s what we know. Sometimes the power fluctuations in the MIDC mess with our schedules, so we have a small generator that we pull out when things get desperate. It’s loud, but it keeps the lights on.
