We are over here at No. 7 Valluvar Colony in Sholinghur. Most people around here know us for the incense we make every day. It started out as a small thing in a single room and slowly we took over more of the space. The smell of sandalwood and rose is always hanging in the air around our gate. It gets into your clothes after a while but nobody seems to mind it much. We have a few local women who come in early to help with the packing and rolling. It is quiet work for the most part, except when the delivery truck comes down the narrow street. That always causes a bit of a stir with the neighbors. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some sturdy tables and boxes stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. Dealing with the raw materials can be messy, especially the charcoal powder, so our hands are usually a bit stained by the end of the day. We just keep at it because it is what we know how to do.
