Tomar Cement Agency

Tomar Cement Agency is a small family-run place in Ward No. 01 of Harrai Village. We are right by the Anganwadi and the Post Office in Kakraua, so we are at the heart of the village activity. Most people in Taluka Pohri know us or have at least passed by our storage area. We started this agency because we saw that our neighbors had a hard time getting materials for their new rooms or boundary walls. Now, they don't have to go all the way into the bigger towns. Our setup is very basic. We have a solid roof to keep the moisture out and enough space for a few hundred bags at a time. I usually handle the customers myself. We talk about the weather and the crops while we settle the bills. There is no corporate feeling here at all. It’s more like neighbors helping neighbors. Sometimes my kids help out after school if we have a big delivery to move. We use a simple ledger to write down every sale. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the heavy trucks arrive to restock us. Those days are long and tiring, but seeing a new house go up in the village makes it feel worth it. We don't want to be a big company; we just want to keep serving Harrai and the surrounding areas as long as we can.
