Sanger Clinic

Sanger Clinic is easy to find because it is right near the Old Bus Stand in Chanderi. If you are coming from anywhere in the Ashoknagar district, you probably know where the buses used to stop. It is a very old part of town. The building is not new, and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it does the job. There is always a lot of dust from the road because of the traffic near the bus stand. Inside, it is mostly quiet except for when the heavy trucks go by outside. We have a small desk at the front where we keep the registers. Most days, we just sit and wait for the first person to walk through the door. Chanderi is a small place where news travels fast, so people just know we are here. We do not have a big sign, just a small one near the entrance. The rooms are a bit narrow and the lighting is okay, but not great. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the handheld lights. It is a simple setup for simple work. We do not have a coffee machine or anything like that, just a water pot in the corner with a steel glass. Most of our day is spent talking to people about their aches and pains. We see a lot of familiar faces from the nearby markets. It is just how a local clinic in a place like Chanderi works.
