Maheshwari Medical is located right in the heart of Narwar. If you live around here, you probably know the street we are on. Narwar isn’t a huge place, so businesses like ours tend to become landmarks after a while. Our shop is quite simple. We have the usual glass counters and wooden shelves that have been there since we opened. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a big staff or fancy computers doing everything. Usually, it’s just one or two of us behind the desk, helping whoever walks in. The pace in Narwar is a bit slower than the big cities, which we like. We get to talk to the people who come in, often hearing about their families or how the local crops are doing. The shop stays fairly busy during the morning hours when people are out doing their shopping. We keep the place clean, but it’s definitely got that lived-in feel. There are always a few bicycles parked out front. We don’t spend money on big signs or flyers. People just know where Maheshwari Medical is because we’ve been part of the Narwar community for a long time. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we enjoy the daily routine of it. We keep our inventory stocked as best as we can given the limited space in the building. It is a quiet life, but it is our life here in the village.
