Dilip Medical Stores

Our place, Dilip Medical Stores, is at 52 Kamlaganj. We’re situated quite close to the AB Road, so it’s easy for people to find us if they’re coming into town. The shop is a standard local pharmacy with a big wooden counter that’s seen a lot of use over the years. Our shelves go all the way up, so we have to use a rickety ladder to get to the items stored near the top. Usually, it’s just me and one other person working here. We stock the common things people need like vitamins, cough mixtures, and different kinds of ointments. Because we’re near the AB Road, we hear the heavy trucks rumbling by all day long, which can be a bit loud. We have a small refrigerator in the corner for the stuff that needs to stay cold, like insulin. The floor is made of old tiles and we try our best to keep it clean, though it’s a struggle when the weather is rainy and everyone brings in mud. We don't do any big marketing or have a fancy sign. People in Kamlaganj just know where we are and come by when they have a prescription. We spend the quieter times checking the stock levels or just talking to the other shopkeepers nearby. It’s a simple routine that we’ve followed for a long time now.
