Dharmartha Sewa Dham Foundation

You can find us at the Dharmartha Sewa Dham Foundation, which is located in Shivpuri Colony. We are currently operating out of Kh No. 177, care of Prashant Pandey. It’s more of a residential setup than a typical office. We started this because we wanted to do some good in our local area. It’s not a fancy organization with a lot of rules and regulations. We just sit together and figure out what the neighborhood needs. Sometimes it’s organizing a local cleanup, other times it’s helping out at a local event. We don't have a lot of equipment. Just a couple of tables and some chairs. The colony is usually pretty quiet, which helps us focus on our tasks. We aren't looking to become a huge national group. We just like being here and helping the people we know. Our records are mostly kept in notebooks, and we spend a lot of time on the phone or talking over the fence. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have any marketing people or anything like that. We just tell people what we’re doing when we see them at the store or on the street. It’s honest work, and it keeps us occupied during the day. We’ve been here for a while and we’ve seen the colony change, so we try to adapt to whatever is happening. We are just simple people helping out. It’s a quiet life, but it’s good.
