You can find us at 17-8-95 on Kuvempu Road in Shivamogga. This street gets quite a lot of traffic, especially in the afternoons, so there’s always a bit of noise outside. We’ve been running this agriculture business for a while now. The shop is filled with all sorts of tools and supplies that farmers need. It’s not the most organized place in the world; we’ve got coils of pipe in one corner and stacks of buckets in another. Shivamogga is a great place to be if you’re into farming, and Kuvempu Road is right in the middle of it all. We spend our days talking to people who come in from the outskirts. They’ve usually got a list of things they need and not much time to waste. We try to get them sorted out quickly so they can get back to their fields. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery, which can be frustrating for everyone. The walls are covered in old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; word of mouth is how most people find us. We just sit here, sell what’s needed, and watch the rain. If the monsoon is good, everyone is happy. If it’s dry, the mood in the shop gets a bit heavier. That’s just the cycle.
