Sri Sevalal Iti College is situated in Holalkere, which is in the Chitradurga district. Being an ITI college, we are very much a practical, nuts-and-bolts kind of place. We don’t have a lot of the extras that you might find in a big city university. It’s a simple building with workshops and classrooms designed for technical learning. Most of our students come from the local villages and nearby towns around Chitradurga. They are here to learn a trade, so the atmosphere is usually quite focused. You might hear the sound of tools or machines coming from some of the rooms during the day. We don’t have a polished front desk or a team of people in suits. Usually, you’ll just find a couple of us in the office handling the registrations and the mail. It’s a quiet life out here in Holalkere, and the college follows that same pace. We deal with the usual issues like dusty floors or equipment that needs a bit of tinkering to keep running. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for the people in this area. We don't make big promises about the future; we just provide the space and the materials for people to learn their craft. The gates stay open for anyone who is willing to put in the work. It’s just a basic, functional college helping the local community get by.
