Shree Shailamallikarjuna Chits Privatelimited

We are located on the first floor of the Shree Manjunatha Building. It’s right there at Shivamurthy Circle on Kuvempu Road. If you know the circle, you’ve definitely seen the building. We’ve been running Shree Shailamallikarjuna Chits from this spot for quite a bit. Being on the first floor, we get a good view of the traffic going around the circle. It’s a busy spot, which is good for us. We have a modest office space with a few desks and some filing cabinets. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come up the stairs to check on their accounts. We handle various chit groups for the local community. It’s a lot of manual entries in books, even though we have a computer now. We like the old way of doing things sometimes. It feels more reliable. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is at the desk. We’ve known some of our members for years. They are more like friends than customers. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. The traffic noise from Kuvempu Road is constant, but we don't really notice it anymore. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a honest way to make a living, helping people manage their savings right here in the neighborhood. We usually close up once the street lights come on and the circle gets a bit quieter after the evening rush.
