We’ve been here at Machenahalli for a while now. The shop is at No. 61 in the Shimoga Bhadravathi Industrial Area. It’s mostly just us working on castings every day. Most people around here know where we are. We do a lot of precision work, mostly focusing on the metal parts people need for different machines. It’s noisy and hot sometimes, but that’s the nature of the job. We have a small team of guys who’ve been doing this for years. They know how to handle the molds and the heat without making a big fuss about it. We don't really have a fancy office or anything like that. It's just a practical space where the work gets done. Sometimes the schedules get tight when a lot of orders come in at once. We just try to keep the machines running and make sure the pieces come out right. There isn't much to say other than we're a local foundry trying to do honest work. If you come by the industrial area, you’ll see the sign for Shimoga Precision Castings. We started out small and stayed that way mostly because it’s easier to manage things. We don't spend much time on the computer, usually just on the floor. It's a steady life. We make sure the metal is poured correctly and the finishes are what they should be. That's about it for us. We just take it day by day.
