Shifa Clinic

Shifa Clinic is right on the Byrapura Main Road, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside. You can hear the trucks and buses going past all day long, which sometimes makes it hard to hear what people are saying inside. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit worn out near the entrance because so many people walk over them. It is not a very big space, but we have enough room for a few people to sit and wait their turn. The main road is busy, so there is usually a layer of dust on the window sills by the afternoon, no matter how much we wipe them down. People from all over Byrapura stop in because they see the sign while they are out doing their shopping or heading to work. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few charts and a calendar that is usually a month behind. The door stays open most of the time to let a bit of a breeze in, even though it brings in the sound of the horns. It is a practical place for practical people. Most of the folks who come in are our neighbors or people who work in the small shops nearby. We just try to keep things moving and help whoever walks through the door as best as we can in this busy part of town.
