Saint Marys Convent High School

Saint Marys Convent High School sits right on Maratha Street in Harihar. It’s an old building that has seen many generations of students pass through its doors. If you walk down the street during the morning, you’ll see the kids in their uniforms heading toward the gates. It’s a local landmark in this part of town. We have the usual setup you'd expect from a school that’s been around for a while—chalkboards, rows of wooden desks, and a big bell that rings to mark the end of classes. The teachers here are quite strict about attendance and doing homework, but they care about the kids. It’s not a place with a lot of high-tech gadgets; we stick to the basics of reading, writing, and math. Being on Maratha Street means we are right in the middle of everything, so there’s always something happening outside the walls. We don't have a PR department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just open our doors every morning and get to work teaching the local children. It's a simple, honest school that focuses on giving the kids a decent education so they can move on to whatever comes next in their lives. Most people in Harihar know someone who went here at some point in their childhood.
