Our place is at 111 Hondada Keri Road, which is right behind the Talluk Office in Shikaripura. Being so close to the government office means there is always something going on nearby. It’s a busy part of Shimoga. We have been at this location for some time now. The building is a standard one, and we are just one of the many local businesses on this road. We handle chit funds, so our days are filled with talking to members and organizing the different groups. People know us as the place behind the Talluk Office. It’s a good landmark. Inside the office, things are pretty basic. We have some wooden desks and benches for people to wait. We spend a lot of time writing in ledgers and updating the records for our members. It’s not a high-tech office by any means. We do things the old-fashioned way mostly, because that’s what people around Shikaripura are comfortable with. The road outside can get a bit dusty and loud with all the buses and bikes, but once you come inside, it’s just the usual office chatter. We know our regulars well and often share a cup of coffee while discussing the chit cycles. It is just a local business run by people who live right here in the Shimoga district. We focus on the work at hand and don't worry about much else besides keeping the books in order and being here for the members.
