City Central Hospital

City Central Hospital is located at No. 17 on AVK College Road. Being in P. J Extension means we see a lot of people from the neighborhood and students from the nearby college. The road outside can get pretty jammed during the morning rush when everyone is heading to work or school. We have a small lobby with a few old magazines on the table. The walls are painted a light blue that’s started to peel a bit in the corners. It’s not a flashy place, but it stays busy. We’ve got a few nurses who have been here for years, and they pretty much run the show. They know which patients prefer which chair. The air conditioner in the waiting room rattles sometimes, but it keeps the place cool enough. We spend a lot of time writing things down in big ledgers because the computer system is a bit slow. People come in for all sorts of reasons, from checkups to minor emergencies. We try to see everyone as they come, though there’s usually a bit of a wait on Mondays. There is a small shop nearby where we get our coffee. The back area where we store supplies is a little cramped, but we make do. It’s just a standard local hospital doing its thing day after day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first opened the doors here. We know the community and they know us. It is a very practical setup.
