If you head down to the Ranjangaon Industrial Area, you'll find us at Plot No G2. The official name is Elringklinger Automotive Components India Pvt Ltd, but most of us just call it the plant. We are located in the Tal Shiruru district, which is a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the main city. The area is full of these big plots and wide roads where containers are always moving. Our work is mostly about engine parts, gaskets, and things that keep engines from leaking. It’s precise work, so you have to pay attention to the machines. The floor is usually kept as clean as a factory can be, though there’s always some oil or metal scraps around. We have a lot of people working on the assembly lines. It’s a mix of younger kids starting out and older guys who have been in the industry for twenty years. There’s no big secret to what we do. We get the raw materials, run the presses, and pack the finished components into crates. Lunchtime is when it gets a bit lively in the canteen, then it’s back to the noise of the shop floor. The weather in Shiruru can get quite hot, which makes the afternoon shifts a bit slow, but we keep the pace up. It’s a solid place to work if you don't mind the commute out to the industrial zone. Most people just get used to it after a while.
