Lyall Engg Works

If you are driving down G T Road near the Shirpur Bypass, you’ll find us at Plot No.29/39. Lyall Engg Works is basically a workshop where there is always some machine running or someone welding something. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but engineering work usually isn't. We have grease on our hands most days and there is a lot of scrap metal lying around the yard. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and most of the locals know us as the place to go when something mechanical needs fixing or building. The bypass makes it easy for the bigger trucks to get to us, which is helpful since we deal with some heavy parts. Sometimes we get projects that take all week, and other times it's just small quick jobs that someone needs done right away. We don’t really use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is just knowing how the machines work by looking at them. The heat can get pretty bad in the middle of the day, so we usually take a break then. We aren't much for talking or fancy sales pitches. We just look at what needs doing and try to figure out the best way to make it work with the tools we have. It’s honest work, and we like being out here near the road where everything is moving and people are constantly passing by.
