We are based out in the Shimoga District of Karnataka, specifically in a place called Sorab. Our office is near the K.E.B. Colony, and we’re part of a local family-run environment. Bharath Kumar and Hanumanthappa are the names you’ll hear around here. Technocom Constructions is a small-town operation, and we like it that way. We do construction work, which means we spend most of our time out in the sun at different sites around the Kodakani area. Our office is where we keep the ledgers and the equipment lists. It's not a polished environment; there’s usually some dust on the shelves and the smell of diesel from the machinery nearby. We work with the local labor and try to get things built according to the local needs. Shimoga is a beautiful place, but the work is tough and physical. We don’t have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. We just have a few people who know how to build things and make sure the materials arrive when they are needed. Sometimes the rain in Karnataka stops us for days, and we just have to sit in the office and wait for the mud to dry so we can get back to work. It's a simple life, focused on getting the projects done one by one. We’ve lived here our whole lives, so we know the land and the people around this district very well.
