Syed Tiles

My father started Syed Tiles a long time ago here at 378, Tilak Nagar, Durgigudi. Back then, things were different, but we are still in the same spot. If you walk into our place, you’ll probably see a bit of dust on the samples because that’s just how it is when you move heavy ceramics all day. We spend most of our mornings just unloading trucks and making sure everything is stacked where it belongs. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights and coffee machines. It’s just us and a lot of tiles. Most people who come in are neighbors or local builders who have known us for years. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, it's just me or one of the guys from the back helping out. Sometimes the phone rings and nobody picks up because we are busy in the warehouse, but we eventually get back to everyone. We try to keep a good selection on the floor, though space gets tight sometimes. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and showing people the different patterns. We’ve seen the trends change from simple white squares to all these big marble looks people want now. We just keep doing what we do every day. If you need to find us, we are right there in Tilak Nagar. It's a busy area, so parking can be a bit of a headache, but we make it work somehow. That's just how we run things.
