If you’re ever out on the Main Road in Jayapura, that is where you will find Parimala Coffees Supplies. We are located in the Koppa taluka, which is deep in the Chickmagalur district. Since this is coffee country, it only makes sense that we are right in the middle of it. Our building is right on the road, so it’s easy for the delivery trucks to pull in and out when they are bringing us supplies or taking things to customers. The air around here usually smells like unroasted beans, which is something we’ve all grown to love. We aren't a fancy outfit with a glass front or anything like that. It’s more of a practical space where we store the coffee and get it ready for whoever needs it. Most of us here grew up around these hills, so we know how the coffee business works from the ground up. It’s steady work, and we spend a lot of time talking to the local growers and the people who buy from us. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes the road a bit messy, but we just keep going. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on the beans and making sure the orders are right. It’s a good, honest way to make a living in Jayapura. We just do what needs doing every single day.
