Getting to our spot in Pillangiri Post over in Shimoga can be a bit of a trip if you aren't from the area. We’re located right where Santhosh Kumar.C and the family have been for years. It’s a bit of a mix of home and work life here at Jurong Inrfastructure India Pvt Ltd. My father, Chandrappa.P.V., always said if you’re going to do something, you might as well stay put and do it right. So, we run things out of this address and keep things pretty simple. There isn't a massive corporate lobby or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of talk about infrastructure and how to get things built in this part of India. We handle the local projects and try to make sure everything stays on track. It gets busy during the season when everyone wants to start digging or pouring concrete. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's just us sitting around checking the lists. We aren't some distant company with a thousand offices. You call here, you talk to one of us directly. It’s about building stuff that lasts and making sure the neighbors don’t have much to complain about. We know the soil around Shimoga pretty well by now. It’s hard work and it's dusty, but it’s what we do every day without making a big fuss over it.
