Dulhan Store

Our store is located at 6-21 in the Fahmida Complex, right across from Plaza Collection. We are right in the middle of Gandhi Bazaar, specifically near the 2nd Cross in the Urdu Bazaar area. This part of the market is always packed with people, especially during the wedding season or around the holidays. The streets are narrow and you can hear the sounds of vendors shouting and bells ringing all day long. Inside the store, we have stacks of fabrics and clothes for brides and their families. It is a very colorful place to work, but it can get quite hectic when several families come in at once to look at things. We have been in the bazaar for a long time, and we know many of the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like a little village sometimes because everyone knows each other. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes we spend hours helping someone pick out just the right shade of fabric. It is tiring work standing on your feet all day, but it is part of the job in Gandhi Bazaar. We take a break for tea when the market slows down in the mid-afternoon. It is just a traditional shop in a busy old market that stays grounded.
