Zanzee Bar

If you head up to the East Bourne Resorts in Khalini, you'll find us. Zanzee Bar is one of those spots in Shimla where people go to just sit for a bit. It’s not a huge place, and it’s tucked away enough that it doesn't get the same crazy crowds you see down on the Mall Road. We’ve got some windows that look out, and on a clear day, the view is okay. The furniture has seen some years, but it’s still sturdy. We don't have a DJ or anything like that, just some music playing in the background most nights. Sometimes the mist comes right up to the building and you can't see much of anything outside. That's when it gets cozy. We serve drinks and some snacks to go along with them. The staff here are mostly local guys who have been around Shimla their whole lives. We don't wear uniforms that look like they’re from a five-star hotel in the city. It’s a bit more relaxed than that. People come in after a long walk or a day of sightseeing to rest their legs. We don't have any big promises about being the most popular spot in town. We’re just here in Khalini if you’re looking for a quiet drink. It’s a decent place to spend an hour or two while the sun goes down over the hills. There’s no pressure to leave, which I think people appreciate.
