The Himalayan Rovers

The Himalayan Rovers can be found on the first floor of Thakur Niwas in Shimla. Our location is near Sakat Mochan and also close to the Tara Devi post office area. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which gives us a nice view of the surroundings. Being on the first floor, we have a bit of a vantage point over the road. The area around Tara Devi is quite well-known, and having the post office nearby makes it easy to give people directions to our place. We are a small outfit, and our office reflects that. It’s a comfortable space where we keep our files and handle our bookings. We don’t have a big staff or a corporate structure. It’s just a few of us who know the travel business well. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in to ask about mountain routes. The air feels a bit fresher up here than it does in the middle of the crowded bazars down in the main town. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the cars are in good shape and the drivers know the hilly roads. It’s not a glamorous job, but we enjoy the work and the people we meet along the way. We’ve been at Thakur Niwas for a while now, and it’s a good, solid place for us to run the business.
