We have two spots we call home, one in Gurgaon and one up in Shimla. The Gurgaon office is on the second floor of K-3/44 in DLF Phase II. It’s a busy area as most people know. There’s always someone moving around or some construction happening nearby. It’s a typical Haryana business hub. Then there is the Shimla place at Knolls Wood, which is a lot quieter. That one is in Category I, B-6. Having these two locations means we move around a bit. Takisha Engineering India Ltd isn't some massive corporation with a lobby and a receptionist. It’s just us working through engineering tasks and making sure the drawings and plans are right. Sometimes we are in the heat of Gurgaon and other times we are in the cooler air of Himachal. It makes for a weird balance. We use the DLF office for most of the daily grind because that’s where the action is. The Shimla address is more of a permanent base for us. We don’t really spend money on fancy decorations. The desks are functional and the coffee is usually just okay. We focus on the work itself rather than how the office looks to outsiders. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking figures on the screen. Sometimes the files get mixed up between the two offices, but we find them eventually. It's a simple life divided between the city and the hills. We keep our laptops ready and just go where we are needed that week.
