Super Drug Medicose

Everyone knows the lift in Shimla, and we are located right near it. It’s one of those spots that everyone passes at some point. Being here means we see a lot of tourists who look a bit lost, mixed in with the locals who are just trying to get to work. Super Drug Medicose is a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we are always using a ladder to reach things. It gets quite cold in the winter being up here, so we always have heavy sweaters on. The mist often rolls in past the windows, which looks nice but makes everything feel a bit damp. We spend our days chatting with people and helping them find what they need. There is no big corporate strategy here, just a few of us working behind the counter. We’ve been here long enough that we know which floorboards creak. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big delivery, and we have to shuffle boxes around to make room. But it’s a good spot to be in the heart of Shimla. We just do our thing, keep the shop open, and wait for the sun to come out. It’s a steady pace of life that suits us just fine. The tourists sometimes ask for directions, and we do our best to point them the right way while we work.
