Shiva Tourist Bureau

Shiva Tourist Bureau is located right on The Mall, which is the heart of Shimla. Our spot is quite close to the Combermer Hotel, so there are always people walking past our door. If you know the 171001 area, you know how busy it gets during the peak season. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily rush here. It’s not a big fancy office, just a practical space where we handle travel bookings and talk to people about where they want to go. The weather in Shimla changes fast, and sometimes we’re just watching the clouds move over the hills from our window while we work on the computer. Being on Mall Road means we see everything from the morning walkers to the evening crowds. It can get a bit loud with all the tourists, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't really do the whole polished corporate thing. It’s mostly just us answering the phone and writing down details in our ledgers. Sometimes the tea gets cold because we’re busy with a customer, but that is part of the job. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and most people around here know us. It’s a simple setup with a couple of desks. We focus on getting the work done and making sure people get their transport sorted without too much fuss. There is usually a stack of old maps on the desk and a few chairs for visitors.
