You can find Shimla Spices at House No-365 on the Main Bypass Road in Panthaghati. We are located in the Kasumpti area, right near the post office. Operating a spice business up here in Shimla is a bit different because of the weather. When it gets really cold or snowy, everything slows down. Our workspace is part of our family home that we converted years ago. It’s not a modern factory by any means. It’s a place where we spend our days sorting through whole spices and getting them ready for the grinder. The air is always crisp, which helps keep the ingredients fresh, but it can be hard on the hands during the winter months. We don’t have any fancy marketing plans or a dedicated sales team. Word of mouth is how most people hear about us. We use simple machines and do a lot of the sorting by hand to make sure there are no stones or debris left in the mix. It’s a slow process, but we aren't in a huge rush. We’ve lived in Panthaghati for a long time, so we know most of our neighbors. They often stop by for a chat or to pick up a small bag for their kitchens. We don't try to compete with the big national brands. We just focus on doing things the way we were taught. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life and we like it that way.
