Our office, Rajeev Sood & Co Ca Firm, is located over at Shayam Villa in the Kanlog area of Shimla. Living and working in the hills has its own pace, but the tax season doesn't care about the scenery. We spend most of our days looking at balance sheets and trying to figure out the latest updates from the department. It’s a quiet enough spot here in Kanlog, away from the main rush of the Mall Road, which actually makes it easier to concentrate on the heavy paperwork. We deal with all sorts of local clients, from small shop owners to people with personal income tax needs. The office is usually filled with files and the sound of calculators. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. We just handle the audits, GST filings, and whatever else comes across the desk. It can be a lot of repetitive work, checking entries and making sure the totals are right, but it is what we know how to do. Some days are longer than others, especially when the filing dates get close. We just keep our heads down and get the work done for the folks who rely on us to keep their records straight. It’s a straightforward operation here at Shayam Villa.
