We are based in a small village called Takoli, which is under the Nawakhal post office in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. It is a very rural area, way up in the hills. Our office for Lanco Green Power is just a simple building in the village. It’s not the easiest place to reach, but that’s where the project is, so that’s where we are. We work on green power initiatives from this remote spot. The surroundings are beautiful, but the work is quite demanding given the geography. We don’t have high-speed city life here; instead, we deal with local logistics and the challenges of mountain construction. Our team is small, and we mostly interact with the local villagers and the project workers. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just have our basic office setup and our daily schedules. It’s a very practical existence. We focus on the renewable energy tasks and try to make sure everything is handled properly despite being so far from the city. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads are blocked, but we just deal with it and keep going. It’s a quiet, honest way of working. We are just a group of people in Takoli trying to make this green power project work, one step at a time, without any corporate fluff.
