The Hidden Himalayas

The Hidden Himalayas is based out of Rarang House in the Mehli area of Kasumpti. It’s a quiet place, away from the main noise of the bigger towns. We operate from a space that feels more like a home than an office. There are maps pinned to the walls and boots near the door. We spend our time thinking about the trails and the high ridges. It’s not a corporate setup with cubicles. Usually, there’s a pot of tea brewing on the stove. We know these hills because we live in them. Some days we are out scouting paths, and other days we are here at Rarang House answering messages and looking at gear. The weather changes fast up here, so we’re always checking the sky. Our shelves are filled with old guidebooks and notebooks from past trips. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who really like being outdoors. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the location, but we make it work. It’s a simple life in Kasumpti. We appreciate the silence of the mountains and the fresh air. People find us because they want to see the parts of the Himalayas that aren't on the main maps. We just share what we know and try to keep things grounded and real at Rarang House. We often have a cat that wanders in from the neighbor’s porch.
