K N Chandla Co Ca S is located right near the main bus stand in Shimla. If you know where the Rajdoot Hotel is, we are basically just below that in the Campus Lodge area. It’s a bit of a climb sometimes because of how Shimla is built into the hills. Lalit Sharma and the rest of us stay pretty busy here throughout the week. The weather gets really cold in the winter months, so we usually have a small heater going in the office. It’s a small place but it’s ours. Being so close to the bus stand means it’s always crowded outside with travelers and locals. It makes things lively. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. The walls are lined with folders and there’s always a kettle ready for tea. It isn't a modern glass office or anything like that. It feels more like a lived-in space where actual work happens every day. Sometimes the monkeys outside cause a bit of trouble but that's just life in HP. We handle the paperwork and keep things moving for the people who come to see us. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t go in for anything flashy or expensive. We just open up in the morning and do what’s required. It’s a good location even with the steep walks and the weather. We just keep at it and get the job done.
