About Justice For Human Right Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Shimla
Our place is over in Main E Block and Shimla Devi is the one who owns the space. It’s SCF 40 and it sits right in the middle of a bunch of other shops and offices. Her husband Sushil Kumar is often around helping out with things too. The stairs leading up are a bit narrow and the railing wobbles if you lean on it too hard. Inside it’s mostly just us trying to stay on top of all the paperwork. We have some old metal cabinets that squeak every time you open them. The windows don’t close all the way so we get a bit of a draft in the winter months. It’s a busy block and there’s always someone shouting down in the street or a car horn honking. We don't have a lot of space for visitors but we always manage to find an extra chair. The carpet has a few stains from where we spilled coffee last year and never quite got it out. We’ve decorated the walls with a few photos and some maps of the local area. It’s an honest kind of place where we just get down to business. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Most of what we have was donated or bought cheap. It’s a bit messy at times with papers piled up on the desks but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We try to leave by six.
