Jindal Stainless Limited

This setup is a bit different because we have roots in two places. The permanent address is Karol House in Rajhana, New Shimla, but the actual work happens down at the Kalinganagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur, Orissa. It’s a lot of back and forth between the mountains and the industrial hub. At Jindal Stainless Limited, we deal with the reality of heavy industry every single day. In Shimla, it’s quieter, more of a home base where the records are kept. Down in Orissa, it’s all heat, noise, and massive amounts of stainless steel. We spend a lot of time traveling or on long-distance calls to make sure both ends know what the other is doing. It isn't always smooth. Sometimes the weather in HP messes with the travel, or the heat in Jajpur gets to be too much. We don’t have a polished corporate image because we are too busy managing the actual metal. There are boots on the ground in the complex and pens moving in the office. It’s a gritty, real-world job. We don’t use any fancy mission statements. We just try to keep the production lines running and the shipments on track. It’s a long way from the hills to the plant, but we make it work.
