Jindal Sanjeevani Hospital sits out here in Sholtu Tapri. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but for the people living right here, it’s just the local spot. The air is a bit different here than in the big cities, and you can see the hills if you stand in the right spot outside. We don’t have a lot of the big city noise, though the trucks passing by on the road can be loud. The building is a simple structure. We spend our days checking in patients and making sure the supplies are stocked up. It’s not always easy getting deliveries out this way, so we have to be careful about what we have on hand. The floors are stone and they stay cool even when it’s warm outside. We have a small staff and we all know each other’s business. Most of us have been here for a few years now. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or use the generator. It’s just how life is in Sholtu Tapri. People come in from the nearby areas, often looking tired after a long walk or a bumpy bus ride. We give them a place to sit and try to help them out as best as we can without making a big fuss about it. It's practical work for practical people, and we just keep it moving.
