Himalayan Agro Products

Our business, Himalayan Agro Products, is at 34/1 in the Anaj Mandi area of Ganj Bazar. If you’ve never been to an Anaj Mandi, it’s a very busy grain market. There are always trucks backing up and people carrying heavy sacks on their shoulders. We are located near the Krishna Mandir, so we hear the temple bells all the time. It’s a good sound to have in the background while you work. Our office is just a small room at the front of our storage area. It gets very dusty because of all the grains being moved around, so we are always sweeping. We have a couple of wooden chairs and an old desk where we keep our ledgers. We don't use fancy computers for everything; sometimes a pen and paper are just faster. The market starts very early in the morning, sometimes before the sun is even up. We have to be here to see what’s coming in from the farms. Ganj Bazar is a maze of small lanes and shops. We know all the other traders around here. We share news about the prices and the weather. Sometimes we sit outside on a crate and talk to the neighbors. It’s a loud, messy, and busy place, but we like it. We’ve been part of this market for a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s just how things are done here in the bazaar.
