About Hari Traders – Construction Equipment & Machinery in Shimla
Up here in Village Chhol, things move a bit slower than they do in the bigger towns. We are located out by the Kotkhai post office area, so we see most people when they come into town for their mail or daily supplies. Being a trader in this district means you are always keeping one eye on the weather and the other on the roads. When it rains or snows, getting stuff delivered up here becomes a real chore. The shop floor is usually a bit dusty from the crates we move around, and there is always a smell of wood or whatever produce is in season. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us handling the heavy lifting and talking to the farmers who stop by. Most of our day is spent unloading trucks or checking what we have left in the back room. It is hard work, and your back definitely feels it by the time evening rolls around. We have got a small wood stove for the colder months because it gets really biting up here. Customers usually stay for a few minutes to warm their hands and talk about the apple harvest or how the local roads are holding up. We don’t have fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a practical space for getting business done. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait a week for the next truck, but people around here understand how it is.
