Gulshan Watch And Radio has been a part of the Lower Bazar in Shimla for many years. You can find us at number 30 in the Gunj Bazar area. It’s a very old part of town, and the shop feels like it too. We still work on old radios, which is something you don't see much of these days. Of course, we also spend a lot of time fixing watches and clocks that people bring in. The shop is narrow and filled with the sound of ticking from all directions. It gets quite cold in the winters here, so we usually have a small heater tucked under the counter to keep our hands warm. The shelves are packed with old parts and some newer items we’ve brought in over time. Walking into the shop is like stepping back a few decades, which is just the way we like it. We don't have fancy lights or modern displays. Just wooden counters and glass cases that have seen better days. Many of our customers have been coming to us since they were children, and now they bring their own kids. Shimla is a place of hills and history, and we feel like a small piece of that history. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tiny screws and springs. It's steady work in a beautiful town. We stay open until the fog rolls in.
