Appletree Health Foundation

We are based out of Bhareri Dhar in Kotgarh. It’s a quiet spot up here in Shimla district. My name is one of the staff and we’ve been running the Appletree Health Foundation from this office near the post office for a bit now. The weather gets very cold, especially in winter, but we keep the doors open. Most people around here know us because we are right in the sub-tehsil area. We deal with health stuff, mostly helping folks who can't always make the trip down to the bigger hospitals in the city. It is not a fancy place. We have some desks, a few chairs, and we spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to neighbors who drop by for advice. Living in the mountains means you have to look out for each other. That is pretty much why we started this. Sometimes the roads are bad, but we try to stay busy. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things run okay. If you are looking for us, just ask for the place near the Bhareri Dhar turn. We are usually there during the day, unless we are out in the village. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need to do. We just want to make things a little easier for the people living around Kotgarh.
