Ajay Traders

Ajay Traders is run by Ajay Sirkeck out here in Village Dalan. We are under the Virgarh Post Office in the Tehsil Kumarsain area. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. We mostly deal with trade items that the local farmers and families need. It’s a beautiful spot up here, but the roads can be a bit tricky when the weather turns bad in the winter. We’ve had the shop here for some time now. It’s a small place built from stone and wood like most of the buildings around. We keep a logbook for everything, though my handwriting isn’t always the easiest to read after a long day. Most of the people who come in are friends or relatives from nearby villages. We talk about the apple crops or the rain while I weigh out what they need on the scale. There’s usually a dog sleeping near the doorstep in the sun. We don’t have a big sign, just the name written on the wall and people know where to find us. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bags and moving crates around. My back feels it at the end of the week, but that’s just part of the job. We try to stay organized, but sometimes things get a bit messy behind the counter. It’s just an honest way to make a living in the hills.
